13- Unlucky For Some...Not For Walk 4 Wildlife 2012
After all the rain we have recently had Walk 4 Wildlife looked doomed especially as it was planned for Sunday 13th May but our prays were answered and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. The sun shone and a brilliant atmosphere and camaraderie was created by over 250 walkers. Adults children and dogs happily walked the Trust’s new Heart of the Forest wildlife walk along with our special guest Mike Dilger and after 8 miles all returned safely back to Speech House Hotel where they enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment by the Forest of Dean Brass band and some well deserved refreshments. A little bit weary but with a great sense of achievement.
WELL DONE to all those who walked and helped raise over £2000.00 so far for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust with more sponsorship money arriving daily.
