Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust has today learned that west Gloucestershire has been identified as one of two badger cull pilot areas to be trialled later this year.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust has been alarmed to learn that a large section of a protected roadside verge containing nationally scarce flora has been destroyed and replaced by hardcore near Ashleworth, by contractors working on behalf of Severn Trent.

Footage (below) has shown that a barn owl box installed at Greystones Farm nature reserve has successfully attracted a potential new tenant on the first night after it is was installed.
