Wear Your Wellies For Wildlife

Wear your Wellies for Wildlife 2011 Fundraising

2011 Wear your Wellies for Wildlife raised over £2200!

October 2011 was a very busy month for Wear your Wellies for Wildlife with over 1500 adults and children putting their wellies on and raising money for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.

Over 30 schools, community groups and businesses were involved, including
GE Aviation (Dowty Propellers), Vivid Consultancy and Cotswold Life.
Brownie and Rainbow groups included 1st Churchdown Rainbows and Quenington Brownies who had great fun making welly biscuits, and making wildlife wishes for their welly wishing line.

St Lawrence Primary School had a Welly Olympics on the 18th October which was attended by our Fundraising Officer Jan Ryder who had great fun.
St John’s Ambulance Youth Club held a welly evening on 11th November as part of their Eco badge work along with many other groups and organisations.

The Trust also ran a Welly design Competition and recieved in excess of 700 entries. These were judged just before Christmas by famous author Jilly Cooper who had great difficulty in picking two overall winners. Click on wellies for the full story.
